Dr Simon graduated from Medicine with Honours at the University of New South Wales. He completed neurology training in Sydney, followed by a Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at the Institute of Neurological Sciences, Prince of Wales Hospital. Dr Simon gained further subspecialty expertise in the United States, where he undertook a Clinical Neurophysiology and Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). His PhD studies explored novel approaches to measure nerve injury in motor neurone disease and peripheral nerve trauma.

Dr Simon has an interest in all general neurological presentations, such as headache, stroke, epilepsy, dementia, tremor and Parkinson's Disease. He has a subspecialty focus on disorders of nerve and muscle, including nerve injury and entrapment, neuropathy, myopathy and neurodegenerative disease. Dr Simon has expertise in clinical neurophysiology testing and nerve and muscle ultrasound, which are used to diagnose nerve and muscle damage. Dr Simon performs a range of therapeutic procedures including botulinum toxin injections for migraine, movement disorders and spasticity, and nerve blocks.

Dr Simon has an ongoing involvement in clinical research, focusing on developing imaging and clinical neurophysiology techniques to better measure nerve and muscle injury.

Dr Simon is a Staff Specialist Neurologist at St Vincent's Hospital and St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Darlinghurst, and Consultant Neurologist at Sydney Adventist Hospital, Wahroongah. He holds the position of Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales.

Dr PETER PUHL

Dr Peter Puhl - MBBS, FRACP

Dr Puhl graduated from medicine at the University Kiel, Germany in 2000. After completing his basic physician’s training in Sydney he commenced his neurology training in Germany at the University of Luebeck for 2 years where he gained experience in general and acute neurology as well as in the use of ultrasound in stroke and movement disorders. He returned to Australia and completed his neurology training followed by a Fellowship in Neurophysiology at the Department of Neuroscience at the Concord General Repatriation Hospital in Sydney. 

Dr Puhl is a general neurologist and has subspecialty interests in clinical neurophysiology, stroke and movement disorders in addition to the use of botulinum toxin in a variety of neurological disorders including dystonia, spasticity, hyperhidrosis, migraines and others. He has expertise in the use of ultrasound for carotid Doppler and duplex scanning as well as transcranial sonography in vascular disease and movement disorders. 

Dr Puhl is a Consultant Neurologist at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, Wahroongah and Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital. He is actively involved in teaching of medical students at the Sydney Adventist Hospital Clinical School (SAHCS) of The University of Sydney.

Dr Skulina obtained his medical qualifications with first class Honours from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany in 2002. He trained in Neurology and Neurophysiology at Zurich University Hospital in Switzerland and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney completing his training in Neurology and Neurophysiology in 2008. He has undertaken Stroke and Neurophysiology fellowships at Royal Prince Alfred hospital and worked as a research fellow at The George Institute for Global Health. 

Dr Skulina has completed a doctoral thesis in Neuroimmunology at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry investigating the role of lymphocytes in Multiple Sclerosis. 

Dr Skulina is a Consultant Neurologist at Macquarie University Hospital and Clinical Lecturer in Neurology at Macquarie University.

Dr ALEXIS SELBY

Dr ALEXIS SELBY - MBBS (Hons), FRACP

Dr Alexis Selby is a General Neurologist and Neurophysiologist with an interest in General Neurology, Headache, Migraine, Women’s Neurology, Multiple Sclerosis, Peripheral Nerve Disorders and Neuromuscular Disorders. She completed her Neurophysiology Fellowship at Westmead Hospital.

She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists. In 2017 she was awarded the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists Jim McLeod award. She is a visiting Neurologist at Gosford Hospital.

Lyn brings a wealth of knowledge to Warringah Neurology, with over 20 years experience as a neurophysiology technician. She has worked in major Sydney adult and paediatric hospitals, performing EEG, evoked potentials, nerve conduction studies, vestibular function testing, and intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring.
